Ingredients:

– 2 chayotes
– 150 grams of turkey ham
– 100 grams of fresh cheese
– 1 avocado
– 1/2 lemon
– Baked corn tostadas (optional)
– Ground black pepper
– Salt

Instructions:

Wash the chayotes thoroughly, peel them, and cut them into medium-sized cubes. Place them in a pot with enough water to cover them and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook until softened, about 8 minutes. Then, remove from heat, drain, and place the chayotes in a bowl.

While the chayotes are cooking, dice the turkey ham and grate the fresh cheese. In a separate bowl, place the avocado, squeeze in the juice of half a lemon, add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper. Mix and mash with a fork until it forms a paste, similar to a puree.

Once the chayotes are ready, add the diced ham, grated cheese, and avocado mixture to the bowl. Stir to combine everything well.

Serve the mixture on baked corn tostadas if desired, and enjoy!

This dish of chayote with ham and cheese is delicious and can be served as a tasty snack or light meal.
